The PVSA honors individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to volunteerism. As a certified PVSA organization, we now have the privilege of awarding this prestigious national award for outstanding student volunteers. This award can be earned yearly and looks great on resumes and college applications!
The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA), a federal program of the United States and supported by Americorp, recognizes individuals who are committed to a high level of volunteerism and service.
As an official certifying organization, Cedar Park High School PTSA student members are eligible to receive this national award annually for their volunteer service. Members who meet PSVA’s eligibility criteria and achieve the minimum hours of service over a 12-month time period will earn this award and honor.
Per federal program rules, recipients must be a United States citizen or a lawfully admitted permanent resident of the United States.
Awards are issued for service hours served within a 12-month time period (May 1-April 30) or over the course of a lifetime.
Court-ordered community service does not qualify for the award.
Awards are issued by approved Certifying Organizations
Service must be with an approved Certifying Organization that is legally established in the United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or one of the U.S. territories.
Unpaid acts of volunteer service benefiting others (can be in-person or virtual)
Note: Experiences such as internships and student teaching, which may be academic requirements do not qualify as volunteer acts of service.
Eligible Service does NOT include: donating funds, political lobbying (non-partisan voter registration is an eligible activity), religious instruction, conducting worship service, proselytizing, volunteer service performed as part of court-ordered community service and serving only family members.

Fill in the date, organization, time spent and a brief description of each service event
Obtain email signatures on the form or emails verifying the hours
Upload Google tracker and emails (if needed) and share to programs@cphsptsa.org
Be sure every doc you upload includes your name in the title to ensure you get credit for your hard work!
All paperwork must be submitted by May 15, 2026, to be eligible!
