The LISD PTA Clothes Closet is hosting its annual Prom Shop on Saturday, March 8, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at LEO Center, 300 South West Dr., Leander. All teens in the Leander ISD area are welcome to shop for free formal wear, shoes, jewelry and accessories for girls and boys.
To decrease wait time, please register to attend the Prom event. If you would like to volunteer to help prep, set up, assist or clean up for the event, please sign up to volunteer.
Do you have formal wear and accessories you would like to donate? Drop them off in the CPHS front lobby!
The Leander ISD Council of PTAs Clothes Closet is owned and operated by the Leander ISD Council of PTAs and community volunteers. The purpose of the Clothes Closet is to provide gently used school clothing and brand new underwear and socks to students in our school district. We have clothing for grades pre-K through the SELF 18+ Program (sizes 3T-4X). The only qualification to shop at the Clothes Closet is that the student must reside within the Leander ISD boundaries. Our program has no income requirements and no vouchers are required.
The Clothes Closet has two locations: the new South location at River Place Elementary (6500 Sitio Del Rio Blvd., Austin, TX 78730) and our original North location between Leander Middle School and the LEO Center (324 S. West Drive, Leander, TX 78641).
There are volunteer opportunities for both Parents and Students at both the North and South locations. We need volunteers every day that we are open for shoppers, as well as some extra days during the year to sort and help organize our store. Any student, community member, retiree, parent or grandparent may volunteer with us!
The Clothes Closet is open every Tuesday and one Saturday per month, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., as well as the first and third Wednesday of each month, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., (Check the 2024-25 Shopping Calendar.)
