PTA Scholarships for
Students and Faculty Members

CPHS PTSA, the Leander ISD Council of PTAs, and Texas PTA offer thousands of dollars in scholarships each year to members. Scholarship applicants must be current PTA/PTSA members. Find out more below.

CPHS PTSA Scholarships

2024-2025 Cedar Park High School PTSA

CPHS PTSA will award $7,000 in scholarships to graduating Seniors for the 2024-2025 school year:

One $1000 scholarship in memory of Stacy Kaye Danielson
One $1000 scholarship in the memory of Jay Sevier
Five $1000 STEM scholarships to graduating female seniors seeking a STEM degree (per the donor’s request)

All applications and supporting documents MUST be received by EOD (11:59 p.m.) on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Applications received after the deadline are not eligible for consideration.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Must be a Graduating Senior
Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or 3.5 on a 5.0 for all scholarships except the STEM, which requires a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or a 4.25 on a 5.0 scale
Students must be a current (paid) Cedar Park High School PTSA member by March 15, 2025. Student Membership is $5 per student. Click here to purchase a membership.

Complete the application.
Please note: ALL scholarship applicants must complete the first essay.
Students wishing to also be considered for the STEM scholarship must complete the first essay and the additional STEM essay. For a list of qualified STEM degrees, please click here.

Application

The application is in .pdf format and should be downloaded and completed electronically. Please be sure your information is saved in your form prior to attaching it electronically. Click here to download the application.

Save the application PDF to your computer
Open the document that is saved on your computer (not the one open in your browser)
Complete the document (from your computer) and SAVE again to your computer
Attach the completed form to your email and return to the Scholarship Chair when you are ready to submit

Submission Requirements

Applicants should submit the following documents via email to the CPHS PTSA Scholarship Committee Chair at suetex1954@yahoo.com by April 1, 2025, 11:59 p.m.:

Fully completed scholarship application PDF document as described above.
A scanned copy of their current transcript.
A scanned copy of a recommendation letter (can be from a teacher, counselor, or other professional).

All applications and supporting documents MUST be received by EOD (11:59 p.m.) on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Applications received after the deadline will not be eligible.

Payment

The scholarship will be paid in one lump sum directly to the education institution.

Presentation

Scholarship recipients will be awarded certificates at the Awards Ceremony that is usually held in May. Check the school calendar for the date and time.

Leander ISD PTA Scholarships

The Leander ISD Council of PTAs offers graduating students scholarships each year. Applications are due March 25.

Texas PTA Scholarships

To help fulfill its goal of supporting Texas students and faculty members in reaching their full potential through continuing education, Texas PTA awards $1,000 to eligible graduating high school seniors, and up to $500 to eligible faculty members.

Applications open September 15 and are due by November 15.
